Forex options question?
If you decide to sell an option to buy a, say EUR / USD with an exercise price of the current exchange rate + 100 points (in 100 pips is a bonus), and the exchange rate on the day of exercise is the currency + 50 pips option buyer has a right to exercise ( I left with a gain of only 50 instead of 100 pips) or not (it expires worthless)?
European options can be exercised at any time while the options America can only be exercised on the expiration date, if the option goes up you pay for the option plus any amount that goes up, if you go down and then they will not exercise because you could buy cheaper, why pay more for a value option.
